Stay Glamorous...

Effortlessly with style

How To Keep Your Extensions Glamorous

It is always best to consult with a licensed hairstylist for custom color applications and installation.

Luxury hair deserves luxury care. Preparing your bundles and lace before installation helps extend longevity, maintain softness, and preserve the integrity of the hair.

If you choose to color your extensions, our premium raw hair is ideal for professional color applications.

Cleansing & Conditioning

Begin by gently cleansing the hair with a sulfate-free shampoo such as Lush Hydrating Shampoo, formulated to cleanse effectively while maintaining moisture balance.

Follow with Detangle Smoothie Conditioner to restore softness, elasticity, and slip.

Carefully comb the conditioner through the hair using a wide-tooth comb, starting at the ends and working your way up to the weft. Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water. Avoid twisting or wringing the hair.

Drying & Maintenance

Allow extensions to air dry whenever possible, or dry on low heat to protect the cuticle and maintain shine. Once dry, apply a small amount of Drops of Glam Hair Growth Oil to seal in moisture, enhance softness, and support healthy hair longevity without weighing the hair down.

Consistent care using high-quality, non-toxic hair products will help your bundles and lace maintain their beauty, movement, and lifespan.

Shop the Care

For best results, we recommend caring for your extensions with the same products trusted in The Glam Suite.

Designed for raw hair extensions, lace closures, frontals, and natural textures.

Heat Protection

Heat Protection…

Protect Your Bundles

Always detangle straight or wavy bundles gently, starting at the ends and working your way up to the weft. This helps prevent unnecessary shedding and preserves the integrity of the hair.

If heat styling is desired, always apply a heat protectant first to create a barrier between the hair and hot tools. For thermal styling, we recommend Silk Press Serum to smooth the cuticle, reduce frizz, and add lightweight shine while protecting against heat damage.

Heating tools should not exceed 350°F. Excessive heat over time can compromise the hair's longevity.

We do not recommend heat on curly textures. Repeated heat use will gradually loosen the curl pattern and alter the natural texture of the hair.

For leave-in moisture and blow-dry preparation, apply Keratin Silk Moisturizer to provide hydration, softness, and added protection before styling.

Proper heat control and intentional product use will help your bundles maintain their beauty, movement, and lifespan.

Curl Defining

Curl Defining…

Curls Need Moisture

After shampooing and conditioning, gently comb curly bundles from the ends to the weft while wet to detangle with care and protect the curl structure.

Use the LOC MethodLeave-In Conditioner, Oil, Custard or Cream — to seal in hydration and define curls. Once you've applied product, scrunch curls with your hands to encourage natural formation and bounce.

For curl styling and definition, we recommend:

Let curls air dry for the healthiest outcome, sit under a hooded dryer for enhanced volume, or use a diffuser attachment on low heat for controlled styling. We do not recommend excessive heat on curly hair. Repeated heat use can loosen the curl pattern over time. If heat is used, always apply a heat protectant and keep temperatures low.

Daily Care

Refresh curls with a light mist of water to reactivate product and rehydrate strands. Use your fingers to gently separate and redefine curls. Finish by sealing with Drops of Glam Hair Growth Oil, scrunch, and go.

With consistent moisture, gentle handling, and intentional styling, curly extensions will maintain their definition, softness, and longevity.

Lace Care

LACE CARE...

Closures & Frontals

A lace closure or frontal can elevate your installation and create a more natural, seamless look. Because lace is an investment, it also requires intentional care to keep it looking glamorous and effortless.

Avoid scratching the lace with fingernails, excessive tugging, or vigorous washing — these can weaken the lace and cause thinning or balding over time.

Closures and frontals are especially delicate because they are not wefted like traditional bundles. Each strand of hair is individually knotted and secured into the lace base. This craftsmanship creates a natural appearance but also makes the lace more fragile and prone to damage if mishandled.

When brushing or styling, always hold the roots to prevent excessive tension. Use gentle tools like the Detangling Brush or a Detangling Comb to reduce pulling and protect the lace.

Limit heat usage, as excessive heat can permanently damage the lace and compromise the hairline.

Be mindful of your products. Many drugstore options contain harsh ingredients that can damage lace. Avoid products with high alcohol content, as they can cause dryness, tangling, and premature shedding. Sulfate-free products are always recommended. If you're unsure, consult your stylist for professional guidance.

Closures and frontals can be dyed or bleached, but professional color services are strongly recommended to protect the lace and maintain hair integrity.

Never go to bed with wet hair. Ensure your closure, frontal, or wig is completely dry to prevent tangling and odor. Before resting, gently brush through dry hair and wrap it with a Bundles of Glam Satin Bonnet or use a satin pillowcase to preserve moisture and reduce friction.

You've invested in your closure, frontal, and bundles. Proper care and routine maintenance are essential. We also recommend visiting your stylist every 14 days for professional upkeep, including cleansing and assessments to extend the life of your installation.
